Hit a pothole... now have a continuous clicking/rattle near back right wheel?
Hit a pot hole, hard tonight on the front right tire/wheel. As I pulled in my garage, I heard this apparently new clicking/rattle sound coming from under the car near the rear right wheel... The car was ultra quiet before I hit this pothole?
Any ideas on what I might have broken or dislodged or hurt on the undercarriage of the car? The pothole created a VERY hard THUNKing sound. I almost thought the tire blew out, but it didn't. Then heard the sound. Any ideas?

I assume the sound is only when the car is moving, or the suspension is articulating? If so, then I'd guess you may have damaged something in the rear. it could be many thigns from a borken srping, shock, or bushing to something broken in the parking brake, or even even some road debris lodged int he disk brake.

I addition to what Rodney said, you might have someone listen at the tire itself as you roll it slowly. You could have broken the TPM monitor off the stem and it is rolling around inside the tire. This happened to me once and it made a clicking sound when rolling slowly, as when in traffic.

Thanks guys... wlll be taking the car in presently... Fatz I dont have the TPM monitor in my wheel as far as I know, but this happened to the 2008 C300 and the dealer failed to diagnose it for over six years! An indie caught it and fixed it recently.
