If I replace a pre cat O2 sensor will the computer reset the check engine light after some drive cycles. I am in Florida without my my generic code reader and the repair shop wants $118 to hook up to computer and reset the code. This is on my 2012 E 550 Cabrio. The forum for that car does not have the knowledge that this one has.

Yes, if it does in fact fix the fault, the ECU will extinguish the MIL after 5-10 on-drive-off cycles.
