Leak in trunk?

I opened my trunk after heavy rain to find a pool of water in quite a strange place.

It was collecting by the bolt in the picture below but the area around it appeared bone dry.

is there any way that it could come through the hole for the bolt? I’m not even sure what it is there for!

The water you can see to the side is the result of me splashing water from the pool that had collected.

I too find water collected in the black plastic trunk/boot floor sometimes. I can't find where it comes from and I don't fancy getting into the trunk/boot with a torch, closing the lid and having someone use a hosepipe all over the rear of the car so see if I can spot where it is coming from. Claustrophobia!
