Help. Clk350 trans line blew off

Okay so I got into an accident and rebuilt the whole front of the car. Not 2 mins after driving it again a transmission cooler line came out of the Radiator and now the car won’t move. Is it worth taking to the shop to have fluid pumped in. Is there a way I can add fluid myself. Worried the car is going to be in some type of limp mode or worst case I fried something????. Any insight will be greatly appreciated

Relax. Assuming it's an automatic, it happened to me with another vehicle (not MB). You probably lost most of the fluid. Transmission won't operate if there is no fluid. Plug the line back in place and verify if it is fully locked. Most connector I saw have a steel clip. You can add fluid yourself through the trans dipstick pipe. Check posts here to see where it is in your engine. In my 320 it is hidden behind the engine, under the engine cover. Many posts here explain how to refill. It's very easy. The challenge will be to add the right quantity. Get yourself a trans dipstick and a few cans on MB trans fluid. Add fluid liter by liter (or quarts), cheking often th level. About the line, I would have a mechanic check if the line is truly locked in place. Good luck!

I noticed the top cap on the trans for the dipstick. You sure I can ad fluid thru this hole? Also. When it happened I rushed to auto zone and bought 2 gallons of Valvoline full synthetic they assured me worked on my car. I’m pretty sure I drove around a half mile after it came off so there’s probably little to no fluid in it. There is going to be no Reset I have to do?

So I have a 07 Clk350 with the 722.9. Mercedes dealer is saying there is no trans fluid dip stick or even a hole to put one. But there is 100% a cap on the top of my transmission. Just don’t want to put fluid in the wrong spot

NO LONGER ACTIVE
That is a vent cap. You must pump fluid in through the drain plug. Check the sticky thread at the top of the forum about the 7G-Tronic service for details.
