Cylinder one misfire after intake swap out

Cylinder one misfire after intake swap out . Now the first thing I did was I swapped the coil pack with cylinder three and I’m still getting an error cylinder one misfire so we know it’s not the coil pack. I also checked for vacuum leaks by using our water spray bottle all around the intake. The only thing I can think of it’s possible that it could be a fuel injector. One strange thing though the misfire ring is not all the time for instance in the morning I don’t notice it so much after about 15 minutes of driving then it starts to happen so something to do with warming up maybe there are other times when it is warmed up and I’m driving home one hour commute halfway into the commute car seems fine had an intersection stopped. So it’s very intermittent when the miss firing or skipping occurs. I did purchase a fuel injector for Santa one just in case and I’m willing to swap it out pretty easy job. If anybody can come up with any ideas please I’m all ears but like I said and this is a key it’s not all the time and even after the car warms up there are times that it doesn’t skip but the majority of the time when the engine is cold it runs fine open wide

I had a similar problem a couple years ago. The cause for me was a defective plug cable. There was a bad wire near the plug/coil connector. That problem and a bad ECU nearly drove me crazy. You can try rotating the connector 360 degrees one way and just see if the problem goes away; if not rotate it the other way and see if it still happens.

Does anybody know what that wire that goes to the coil pack is called so I can order one because it obviously I know it’s not the coil pack because I swapped it with another one and still had a problem

You need to try to determine if it is indeed the wiring/connector because there is no connector/wiring replacement for a single coil on MB. I spent many hours searching. You have to either repair the wire or replace the wiring harness. My problems were precipitated by a blown radiator. It developed holes on the top and bottom at the same time while I was at about 80 MPH. The top hole flooded under the hood (wiring and ECU) while the bottom one sprayed the passenger side tires making it a bit hard to control...

In my case, each time I would repair one wire another would go intermittent a few weeks later. I replaced the wiring harness. Most of it anyway.
