With the suction fan still running on high, there is still an issue with the ECU. One thing you might try is unplugging all the coils and see if the suction fan still runs like that. I have seena s horted coild cause issues like this, but it usually causes a blown fuse (53, I think).
I checked for a short among the coils and wasn't lucky to find any.

Hello Jwb007 !

I found your post on google.
I Have exactly the same problem !!! I read your entire post but we are in exactly the same situation :
My mercedes clk209 won't start won't crank...
I checked all fuses, battery is ok (brand new), is send the ECU and EZS for checking => OK.

I tried to post my problem on french forums but like us, we cannot find the problem.
Also, Tryed to get the technical documentation of my clk but we cannot have the documentation in english/fr. Dutch only =>300$.

Thanks,
Tony.

Hello, I mirror your agony. This ECU looks flawless, with no visible signs of corrosion, water marks etc. As is the Sam module.
However am no expert or tech. if it turns out to be one of the other, I will have to accept it.
The gurus on this forum are beyond verse in their expertise and are helpful to the maximum of their capacity. Someone will chime in with that information that you need. Due my budget, 8 an trying to correct this on my own from the help on this forum.
I am so puzzled by the turn of events, that's why I am in denial and clinging to idea, it's something other than the ECU or the Sam. I really appreciate your thoughts and well wishes as I am for you.
Respectfully and valued
Arjuna

Have you tried switching around the relays?

How do I manually move wipper's linkage out of the way? Since the vehicle won't turn on or startup, for it to be moved electronically.
The wipers should operate with the ignition switch in position 2 (i.e. "run") even with the engine off. But the doors must be closed.

Also, the suction fan still runs when key is in position#2, dispite all the harnesses from the top of the module and the ECU are disconnected. Is this a normal
symptom? Or do I have more issues?
That is normal. When the fan does not get a signal, it defaults to high-speed mode/

Hope all is well. I am guessing that I need to reconnect the relays and ECU connectors for the whipers to operate.
What Sam module part number should be shipping for? Would this part number work on an 05 CLK500 #2095451101?

Greetings GPM. I would like some clarification, since I am so shallow at this. What does MY2005+ indicates? I was told to shop for a Sam module, keeping that "MY2005+".

Did you check circuit board on ECU both sides?
Since this is what was on my ECU after a little flood (watch from 4:30min)

Hare Krishan , wanting the message t reach all members of this forum and their's in in best of health. I finally installed this front Sam earlier today. I verified the suction @high speed still existed prior to new install. with the battery pole off and keys out of ignition. Approximately two hours after, the end result is, still "no start without any hesitation", there's nothing when key in position 2, except that suction fan @high speed is no longer there, at least for now. Please, what did i neglect to do correctly? Service B is highlighted in the cluster. There's power to the windows, lights and horn. Does this new SAM needs programming? should i replace the battery in the key fob? Calling on all of W209 Pundits and Gurus/

I just read this thread and I feel so bad for you that you have to go through this. Car problems like this are so frustrating. Just a thought - have you tried manually jumping the starter to make sure it still works?

I see your screen shots of the scan tool and the error messages you show say "stored" instead of "current". What happens when you clear out all the errors and try again?

Hare Krishna, I hope this message reaches you and yours in the best of health.

Believe me when I state, that I truly appreciate your empathy and sympathy.

I was fortune to pursued an Audi tech, to come out and install the Sam.
I armed him with all the info I gathered from the gurus here, leading to replacing the Sam. He motivated himself to the challenge. With only his knowledge, he assumes that its the ground leading to the starter engine. However, the suction fan symptoms, went away after installation. He ran the MBII scan after the wont crank. He gather from the report that systems are not communicating with the network. He believes that the computer locked the vehicle down as an anti theft measure.

It was a long afternoon, I assume he wanted to retire. Both jump box and battery been sitting for in the vehicle for months.
He didn't perform any further diagnosis, ie, testing fuses, relays, battery volt, etc.
I have been suffering from anxiety, since this no start, occurred last August, and it got the better of I, when it didn't start after replacing the Sam.

The vehicle is 50miles away, from my present dwelling.
I will muster the gall to return this weekend and try any new suggestions. I am not expecting the assistance of the Audi tech.

Respectfully
Arjuna

I would try turning the key to the "run" position and manually jumper the starter to see if it does anything. It's a bit of an old school approach.
