The command unit finally went out on my CLK 320 so installing an aftermarket ALPINE IL650. I order the wiring adapter to keep the fiber optic below is the link to the adapter's and the ALPINE..The dealer where I ordered the parts took them 3 months to get it from the manufacturer believe it I went everywhere to find it and even local installer on my area and even CRUTCHFIELD suggested the wiring and even them it will take longer to order and I know someone that works directly from Crutchfield. The manufacturer is actually from UK also you will need to get the multilead to have volume control that one they have it on stock I received it pretty quickly total it cot me $ 219.99 for the wiring harness adapter and $19.99 for the mulitlead. I will give an update once I installed it so if someone ever try this approached feed back will appreciated Multilead
I installed an Ebay 8" screen Android head unit, particularly made to fit in the preface lift W209 center console. I can't remember exactly, cost $330AUD.
Came with everything, installation was easy. The steering buttons still work.
I miss the sound quality of the original system. I have to use sound equalizer app to make this one sound good. Love being able to use moderns apps like, Waze, Google maps and tinder.
rollin do you have a pics ..not an expert on the COMMAND ..however that is the reason I was using connect2 wiring harness to keep the quality sound back ..the optical wiring keep everything in tune perfectly however it took me 2 months to get the harness from UK .I'm a big fan of good quality sound

I hope this message reaches you and yours in the best of health. This thread is over a year, i hope you get this message.I have a few questions, would these harness and adapter work with a Pioneer HU? Did they also maintain all the factory speaker/subwoofer and amplifier?
