Engine cooling fan on hyper speed

I know a few have raised the question on the engine cooling fan going into warp drive and I'd like to ask those that had the TSB done what the results were. Also, did you notice a slight increase in engine coolant temp with the slower fan speed or any other negatives. I understand a wiring harness is changed or upgraded, can some explain the details?

Not exactly sure what it entails, but I can confirm it's a warranty replacement item. Just had mine replaced this weekend when at the dealership for some unrelated work on a 2003 CLK 500, apparently a service bulletin was issued last month to replace the harness to avoid heat damage to the $1200 engine computer.

No adverse consequences noted yet in 93 degree temps ...

yes it is a known problem for CLK, just replace the module and it should be gone~

Well, I haven't noticed the problem since the replacement ... but then again, I haven't driven much, either. I'll let you know when I have a better feel for it.
