Battery parasitic drain 2004 CLK 320

Hi

I have 0.4A parasitic drain (measured when the car is unlocked), which goes down to an acceptable 0.1A after removing BOTH fuses 40 and 42 in the cabin. Removing fuses for the usual suspects (doors/seats) does nothing. Actually removing ANY individual fuse in the cabin or in the trunk does nothing, removing ALL the fuses fixes the problem, so it took me a while to find a combination of 2 which fix the problem.

In my case those fuses are for E Call Emergency Call System (40) and Instrument Cluster (42).

Removing only ONE of those fuses keeps the drain at 0.4 A as mentioned above.

Has anyone got a similar problem? Any suggestions on resolving it?

thanks!

Hope all is well. Yes, the vehicle is experiencing a no start with a .3A drain stemming from fuse#57.
Am waiting for one of the many gurus to respond to my post.
I will update you. Hope by then, your matter is resolved.

Respectfully and valued
Arjuna

Also when locked, the drain oscillates around 3A, but I can't tell if it would go down after some electronics initialization which possibly is prevented by delivering the current through thin probes of the Ammeter. What do people get when they measure current with a car locked? What does it start with when the battery is reconnected and what does it end with after a couple of minutes?

I would expect even a locked car to draw no more than a fraction of an A. Thanks

Is different for models and it's body style.
