wiper arm removal

Trying to get my wiper arms removed and it seems the link has gone dead for the instructions posted before.

I've got the cap and nut offs. I presume I need to use a wiper arm puller to get the arms off the bolts because they ain't moving.

Do the wiper arms need to be in a specific position to be removed? Anybody have a recommended puller for w209?

Thanks,
Z

Own 2005 CLK500, but drive 2011 Sienna :)
No puller required. What is required - WD40 or similar penetrant sprayed on the wiper shafts. Couple minutes and you can wiggle the wiper arm easily. Did this procedure on 3 vehicles today (one w209 and two w203, which has the same wiper arms )

Well I let the wiper arm bolt soak in PB spray for days and still had no luck getting it removed. I went down to autozone and rented a tie rod end puller (see: https://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tool...rod-end-puller) and it popped the wiper arm off no problem. So although it isn't technically required, it made the job much easier.
