Exhaust tips

anyone know where I can find exhaust tips for the CLK? I am looking to make the exhaust to have dual tips. Thanks.

Most of the ovals fit, but if you're going to duals out of the stock muffler, it'll be much harder because you'll have to add a splitter/Y-pipe.

At that point, you're better of going to a Universal muffler that already has the tips on it, and your muffler shop will have to lengthen the stock pipe going into the muffler to bring the muffler further to the rear of the car.

This is beacause the factory tip is so long.

I'm planning on doing something similar on mine in the next two weeks, so stay tuned.

I checked out the muffler on the CLK and it has two pipes connected together into a single tip, if you just cut off the tip can't you just connect the two tips to the two pipes comes from the muffler?

Yes, that is correct

You can do anything you want, so long as it clears the rear fascia. There should be no adverse affects either way.

Looking at my system, it appears that there is an additional silencer in the system that can come off and a different muffler can be used.
