Car shifted into nuteral by itself.
I was driving tonight and I got on a long stretch of highway and I punched it . All of the sudden the car went into neutral even though the shifter was in Drive .I tried switching down or upshifting but it wouldnt move from D . I put in nuteral and tried puting it back in D and still nothing . I hit the gas and the rpms go up but no movement from the car . It slowed down to 30 mph and after a few seconds it started shifting and working normally. I hooked up a scan tool and got code P2500 . I just replaced the valve body and conductor plate last year . What can this be ? I appreciate any help .

It depends. Most likely it is the conductor plate, but you need to check the connector plug at the transmission for fluid intrusion.
Usually the implausible gear code comes at a result of no CAN communication with the trans. Could be a bad conductor plate, fluid in the trans plug, or fluid wicking all the way up to the TCU.
I bet if you had a Star tool, a "No CAN signal from Trans" event would be logged in the ECM event history.
