Does anyone know if it is possible to install the exhaust tips from the CLK55 AMG onto a CLK500? Do you have to change the rear bumper onthe 500 to fit the dual tips? Does this look funny or not clean if you keep the stock bumper?

I am not the biggest fan of the current exhaust on my car. I am not looking to gain any performance or sound increase. I just want the rear to look more aggressive.

From what i understand there are 2 AMG exhausts for the CLK, one is the 55 with larger tips and the other is a regular AMG exhaust with slightly smaller tips. You will need to trim the bumper for the new dual AMG tips regardless.

You have to buy the entire exhaust, the CLK55 tips are not sold separately. And yes, you also have to make the cutout larger or get the CLK55 rear bumper.

How do you trim the bumper? What tools do you need or am I better off having the dealer do it?

If I have to buy a whole new bumper I would rather get a Brabus bumper and exhaust.

I just found the part number for the AMG exhaust. According to AMG the part number is B6 603 0823. These is another part number for the 320 B6 603 0823.

Are these different sizes compared to the AMG one?

the 2 part numbers could be the 2 different sized exhausts. If you really wanted the AMG exhaust make sure you get the CLK55 one, its got the bigger exhaust tips.

Actually I think you can get a brabus exhaust and fit it w/o mods to your standard AMG rear bumper. Not certain but i think there is enough space,

The CLK55 exhaust get no silencer in the middle pipe,so it sounds very aggressive !
