Keyless GO fob battery lasts 4 months

Greetings! I have a 2007 CLK63AMG which has keyless GO. On a new set of remote batteries, the car starts complaining to change the remote batteries after about 4 to 6 months. The remote still works properly, but the display says to change the batteries. Is this normal for the batteries to last so little time? Is the car's sensor too sensitive?
Thanks
MikeC

Yup same here about 6 months. Don't buy those cheap low quality ones. I've realized on remote controls with proximity feature, you need good quality batteries such as Energizer, Duracell, Panasonic to keep them running for 6 months. On my previous MB cars without KeylessGo, the cheaper batteries would last for couple of years some even longer.
