Front seat will not lift when folding forward
Hi
I have a 2003 CLK55. I have noticed that my passenger seat (left side, it is a UK car) does not lift when the seat is tilted forward.
To clarify, the driver seat does two things when I pull the lever:
1. Tilt the backrest forward
2. Lift the seat base up and forward
My passenger seat does 1 but not 2.
Any ideas?

I noticed that the seat only lifts when it is positioned fairly far back. If it is positioned further forward, then it will not lift. I'm not sure exactly what the cutoff is (maybe halfway?), but this is what determines whether or not it will lift in my car.
