Service-A...

I bought my CLK320 as a demo (with 6K KM) back in Dec, 2003. Now the car has about 23K KM and I went to the same dealership to get my first Service-A.

When I picked up my car, I was in a rush so I just paid and left. I later reviewed the invoice and I found a few questionable items. First of all, they changed the dust filter for $30, is this part of Service-A? The point is I never used my dust filter and it should not be dirty. Since I never asked for it to be changed, they should have at least asked me first before replacing it.

Another item is they charged me $3.40 for the washer fluid and $3.75 for the solvent to add into the washer fluid for better cleaning. The problem is my washer fluid was full or almost full. Now, even if it's empty, don't you think it's petty to charge me for it?

I had Honda, Audi before and I was never charged for washer fluid. How petty is this?

Are you sure? I am not sure if we have free service in Canada. I will double check with Mercedes Canada on Monday.

Anyway, I am totally disgusted that a MB dealership can be so petty.

Does anyone know that if it's mandatory to change the dust filter at 20K KM service?

service a does include washer fluid change and dust filter change. the problem is that you shouldnt be charged for it (at least in the us) mb changed their policy on 05 models to charge.
