fm issue
fm issue
Hi there, i recently replaced after market android radio, love everything about it but only one issue, FM is giving poor signal. Radio came with antenna converter with blue cable which i connected with power but still same issue. what am i missing? please help. thank you

You will need to locate and power your OEM Antenna Amplifier. On my Cabrio, it is located in the Trunk Lid. In the Coupe, I believe it's there is a left and right located in the kick panels (from my shop manual).

It does when the battery in the remote is near its end of life. I keep a supply in my desk drawer since other remotes in the household take the CR2032.

Let me rephrase. Walk up to about 6' from the driver's door and point the fob toward the driver's handle. It should work (via infared)
Now cover the infrared end with your hand ( or turn away from the car) and try again. If it does NOT work then the RF unlock system is not receiving (via radio).
If this is your condition (including crappy FM reception), then probably your security alarm siren has died and taken out the 7.5 amp fuse in the trunk...killing the RF and FM (they are on the same circuit).
