Hi all, i went to start my car the other day and noticed the battery was a little flat, i charged the battery and noticed a quiet beep beep 8 sec delay beep beep - this does not change if the car is on or off. Its coming from the heater ac fascia. I have a carsoft scan tool and the only thing i found was a fault code b1590, component a32m2 activated charcoal filter flap motor is stiff or blocked. I can confirm the motor is working as i can see this from the engine bay, when i receive the datastream the motor is being told what position to go to but the current position of actuator motor does not change, i have reset fault but this has not helped. Not sure if this has anything to do with the beep beep.
I have found the problem, after digging around after removing head unit there was a steering wheel module for the sony head unit that was making the noise, i removed and reset and the trouble went away, thanks for anyone that tried to help. Now all i need to know is if i need to pull dash out to replace component a32m2 activated charcoal filter flap motor, or can this be achieved without removing dash.
