System swapout
I couldnt find the thread that spoke of how many speakers come with the clk. Mines is a 2005 clk500 conv. . I guess my question is - How many speakers are there installed and what are the sizes. So far ive purchased JL Audio 6.5 components with .75 tweeters for the front of door and 6.5 JL Audio 2 way for the rear of front door. IF im correct, im missing another pair of speakers somewhere in the rear . And im unsure what size speaker is inbetween the rear seat. IF possible, could someone direct me to a link on the forum that i could look through to get the answer or if someone is willing to answer it in this thread would be greatly appreciated.

There are only 5 speakers inside the car you have 4 you purchased and a center channel above your ac vents. Those round holes you see between your seats is the subwoofer. What are you attempting to do ? Just uograde the speakers ?

Yes. And radio. (10 inch tablet alpine) I understand the entire system has to be redone due to it being fiber optic. What size sub is current installed.? Any pointers?

If you search my username posting history I did a full rip and replace in an 05 clk500 - ugh - now realize I posted about this over on Benzworld in their C209/A209 threads - sorry!
Deck was a cheap JVC - I just wanted to stream Apple Music in the car, so I bought a cheap touchscreen deck.
I used a Focal 6.5 component set - tweeter in stock location, woofer in front 6.5 door hole.
Blocked off rear door hole. Did not use center channel.
stock sub unknown, as with the cabriolet it’s way harder to get to. I abandoned it and left it in place.
I bought a shallow JL 10 and built the recommended box (0.35 cubic foot sealed for a 10TW1-4) and placed that on the floor behind the driver seat. I’m short enough that works for me.

I was looking at that area yesterday and noticed what you were referring to.
What size speaker is in this area you speak of?
And there are no speakers (besides the sub) that are in any area of the rear seating?
I will probably end up getting that shallow JL10 speaker for the rear as well
