Heated Seats

I bought my 2003 clk last year and the seller had installed the dash switches for the heated seats and bought a set of heated seats. The current seats have the grey panel on centre of seat base and back but the wheaten ones do not. Is it easy enough to remove the heating element from the seats to install in the current seats or is that too simplistic a view?? Thanks

The heating elements are built into the seat covers. You can install aftermarket pads but they are only marginally effective.
