I have a CLK55 that I just got. From the looks, it has been sitting for years. When I tried to ride the car in the heat for more than a few miles I started getting a white smoke that smells like smoke and a bit of oil. The smoke was coming from the hood. This would only happen when the AC was turned on. I also got a tire pressure light and a warning saying that I should not drive the car past 50 MPH.
When I popped the hood I noticed a hose releasing air even after the car was shut off ( Excess pressure )
This is an image pointing out the hose that was releasing air. The hose is on the driver's side and is pretty close to the belt.
Can anyone identify what this is and maybe help me troubleshoot. I can provide more pictures tomorrow if needed.
Sounds like the ac compressor could be siezed or maybe an issue with the power steering lines leaking, see if the power steering fluid is still full or leaking, good chance it’s just spraying onto the exhaust or engine
