Aftermarket Head Unit Stopped Working
Hi all, the other day I was driving around town and my aftermarket stereo/nav just shut off and won't turn back on. I'm really hoping it's just a fuse and not the wiring because that would be an awful project. Could someone provide fuse locations for the radio? I never got the handbook when I bought the car. If anyone thinks it might be something else let me know, I wish I could give you the brand but it doesn't even say on it, it's some Chinese unit.

sadly from what i know they fail a bunch ... some faster than others. Might be the screen that just went out or something... Most recommend getting them with a warranty because of it.
It might be a fuse or something easy to fix but personally i would not get my hopes up tbh.

sadly from what i know they fail a bunch ... some faster than others. Might be the screen that just went out or something... Most recommend getting them with a warranty because of it.
It might be a fuse or something easy to fix but personally i would not get my hopes up tbh.

I believe the OP is using an Android unit. I see them on Amazon etc.
My JVC head unit has been working great for 3 years so far. I redid the whole system mind you, not just a replacement of the H/U.

Ye a few of the aftermarket screens are solid. Sadly they still vary from unit to unit .. maybe ur lucky or not
Tbh have not seen an aftermarket solution that lives as long as one of the factory units.
Large retailers are the way to go with extended warranties if you want an aftermarket one. Plus the hassle of sending it back and replacing it with the new one is kind of a no-no for me.
In addition to not working for as long ... most of them dont support the upgraded audio systems ... like if you have logic 7 surround sound you cant activate it or deactivate it ..
