Hi I have a 2009 clk550 with command and saw an option for sms under settings. Is this for receiving text messages? I know it’s an old system but would be cool if it actually worked? How would I go about activating this?

Hi! Yes, it is for receiving text messages, and btw it is comfortable. But if you'd like to use it, I'd recommend not to use your real number because you'll be registered in the dealer's data, and it is not the best idea. I also have a clk 2012, and I also have this option. But I've introduced a temporary number, and I have SMS receive Germany. I use it for the mobile app of my car, and that's why I've chosen that for my security is better to use a fake number than my real one. So, I recommend you do the same if you want to use that option for SMS.
