Major service - water pump

Hi guys,

I'm fettling my "new to me' clk500 and treating the old girl to some major maintenance.

One of the jobs on my list is to replace the serpentine belt and pulleys.

While I'm in there, it would be an opportunity to replace the water pump.

The current pump seems to be ok, even though the car has 200k kms on the clock

So should I leave well enough alone in there? Or is the water pump a common failure and needs regular replacement?
