Tonneau Cover Stuck
2005 MB CLK320. HELP! I am really stuck. So I have been opening the top manually for about 1.5 when I decided to tackle the the hydraulics. I sent the main right off to Klaus at Top Hydraulics. A bargain, and he is incredibly helpful. But the last time I tried to close my top manually the Tonneau cover would not properly close. Its like the hinges were stuck and would not move forward. I recently had Klaus recondition the main right (passenger) cylinder. I just installed it but I can't get the Tonneau cover to set in place, and if you can't get that done, you can't get the Tonneau cover to shut, you can't open the trunk, can't open the trunk, you can't fill up the hydraulic pump. I have not idea why it won't close. I check the tonneau cover valves and they are open, and the hinges and their levers are down. I am at a total loss and I need help, can't go forward until I get that fixed. Please help.

Not sure if it's the same problem, but when I recently replaced the top hydraulics on my 05 I had a hard time getting the tonneau to latch down. I went hulk on it and forced it down, ended up breaking the drivers side micro switch. Turns out things weren't aligned correctly, I'm assuming because I closed it alone and the "twist" from pushing down on one side more than the other to close it tweaked it a bit (not permanently). Perhaps open it up all the way again, have someone come and help you close it so you can make sure it's properly aligned with the latches on both sides.
