2003 CLK 500 2DR Coupe

Car has been running hot and if it overheats, once I press the brake or turn, the car dies. Once it's cool enough to crank, the battery is drained and have to be jumped started.
What would be causing that? And what the heck is draining the battery everytime??
Car does need oil change/tune up. Can't get those done because car won't drive more than 15-20 min before overheats. Wtf???
