Hood release cable leak - how difficult to replace?
I've been steadily working through the leaks in my 2003 CLK55 and every time I think I have solved it, another one becomes apparent.
Right now it looks like I am suffering from a leak through the grommet for the hood catch release cable. Wet driver side carpet is the main clue. Drains are clear.
Can somebody advise on how difficult the cable is to replace? Does the fusebox need to come out?
My understanding is that I need the whole cable, with the grommet, and I can't just buy the grommet.
