Does anyone knows if 2005 CLK500 Engine Harness is identical to 2004 CLK500?

I'm swapping the engine between those 2 and curious if I can swap the harness as well along with the engine (which will save a LOT of time), or I need to stick to the original harness?

I'm 99% sure they are the same. As far as I know there were no changes to the engine itself between 2004 and 2005 MY (only transmission, which is not related to the engine harness).

I’m hoping they didn’t change the sensors locations or pinouts.
I just thought it would be cool to install the manual transmission instead while the engine and transmission are out of the car anyways

There are to few sensor on that engine to change their location :-D
Yeah manual swap is easy, I posted all parts needed in my two threads. Just in case since the engine is 05 MY you'll need a flywheel with "later" bolt pattern.

I bought 2 CLK500's - 2004 with a damaged engine and 2005 with a good engine. 2005 requires the frame rail work, which I don't have time for now, so I'm taking the engine from 05 and putting it into 04 just to make 1 working car instead of 2 non-working. May be later on I'll check on the broken engine from 04, which was hydrolocked and possibly bent a rod. So if this is the case I'll replace the rod and stick the 04 engine into 05 when the time comes I'll need to check on manual transmission swap - may be it worth to think about it.
