Has anyone been able to use the CLK's existing Sirius XM receiver with an upgraded head unit? Mine is a 2009 CLK 550 Harmon Kardon system. Planning to install a Seicane Model: A5776N-L shown below. Also a photo of my Sirius receiver that's located next to the HK amp in the boot. Would be interested in your experience with this. Read nearly all the existing threads on head units and not seen anything about using the existing Sirius unit.
The Sirius receiver is in the trunk, right side, behind the lining which is easy to remove. I don't use the Sirius receiver. Instead I use the Sirius app on my phone to stream to the Seicane Android head unit via Android Auto.
I don't know if I'm too late, but I purchased a Buvee which connects to the IPOD cable in the glovebox. I makes your radio bluetooth with your phone. That's what I use to stream my SiriusXM app. But you can't take calls thought it. I purchased a MB Phone system from the Cellguy85 on Ebay. He also is very well known on here. He very good and a Cool Guy.
