CLK500 Seat Belt Extender
Hello All,
I have recently purchased a 2005 CLK500 that needs some TLC.
One issue is the seat belt extender on the driver side goes in and out continually......never stops!
Looking for any thoughts what could be causing this.
Thanks for any insight.
Mark

Thrasher,
I sniffed around a little and king moderator, Rudney, suggested the problem might lie with the soft top controller. But finding a dealer or Indy to properly diagnose could be the challenge.

Hooked it up to my DAS System (from the BenzNinja) and did a scan.
The last owner was not fixing issues.... just unhooking the battery.. Positive terminal! This was because they had a cheap Walmart battery... that was WRONG for the car.
I purchased the correct battery from Mercedes... clear all the error (there was a LOT of them) in the system.
Had a drain due to a bad Alarm battery not talking to the system.... I have this on order.
Everything is working correctly now!
Well ... kinda! I found some "creative" wiring under the hood. This will take a little more investigation
Best Regards
