CLK350 slow acceleration compared to numbers

Hello, I have a CLK350 2006 with the AMG sports package and it just cannot accelerate to 60 mph in less than 9 seconds, any idea what could the issue be? I tested it by going into first gear in Sports mode and just flooring it.

What equipment did you use to measure 0-60?
Just in case "AMG sport package" doesn't include performance upgrades.

I timed my clk320 convertible (before transmission/engines swap) with RaceLogic PerformanceBox and it was 7.7, although I don't remember whether 1 foot rollout was on or off.
There are so many variables which can affect 0-60 like ambient temperature, elevation, road condition, how heavy is the car at the moment, etc.

I measured it with numerous things like a Race timer GPS app on my iphone, took a video of the speedometer, stopwatch etc,,but regardless it was never even close to 7 seconds so the means of measuring isnt really the problem because its significantly far from 6-7 seconds. The ambient temperature was good, I tried different times always warmed up , normal road elevation, just myself in the car.
It has sports suspension and avantgarde package aswell, WDB2093561F181768 is its vin number.
Heres a video of its acceleration attached.
Out of curiousity, what have you swapped to? What setup are you running now?

Yeah, I got you frustration, I've been there I was seriously trying to improve 0-60 on my clk, but never got there. I mean yes I definitely improved it (probably by couple of seconds, I swapped 6 speed and 5.0 v8, added threads to my signature), but I've never measured it (before selling the car to my friend), I stopped worrying about 0-60 and started focused on handling and height reduction....
Anyway what's mileage on your car? m272/273 engines prone to have cylinder wall scoring which might affect performance, plus you have early 722.9 transmission which was also prone to have problems (mostly conductor plate and oil contamination which I'd image may lead to slower shifts).

Its got about 177k miles lol, but a lot of them are highway miles and it was previously my dad's car and he maintains it very well. I feel like it's a transmission problem or could be scoring aswell, but this car is a money pit so I will probably try to sell it later, but I thought if it's a simple fix why not.
I actually saw your thread when I looked up clk320 swap on google, I'm currently studying software engineering and I feel like I wish I had the knowledge to swap and play around ! Good stuff brotha!

Wiz,

this will sound nuts but..I had an issue with my CLK accelerating. Lazy response in the pedal. Had Hans look at it and they found a wire bundle by the front seat chewed by mice. Repaired and all is well. I don’t drive the car in the winter. Its stored for about 4 months. I now load the car with rat poison.

zill.

My CLK55 coupe takes around 7 seconds at the moment, and that's had the secondary cats removed and Renntech ECU tune.
