I'm considering buying a CLK230, but I'm a big stereo guy and will want to mess around with it a good deal. I've noticed that you can purchase a head unit dash kit for the C-class, and was wondering if the same kit would work on the CLK (non nav, obviously)? How does the dash kit look?

If I can't change the head unit, I would like to amp all the speakers and put in a subwoofer. How hard would this be using the factory Nav system or the regular stereo? Also, I heard that all the 05 COMAND (which just means nav system, correct?) units will play CDs or DVDs burned with mp3s. I saw that in the E class message board, and wasn't sure if this applied to the other classes as well, or if the COMAND unit is different from class to class.

 

I'm no techie so i don't know about the amp and subwoofer stuff but I do know that you can't play mp3s on the 05 comand. I tried it last week on both the dvd and the cd player. no dice.
