Hi guys, I have W209, 2002 year 3.2 engine, I have a problem like that, sometimes selector gets stuck and remains in 3rd gear and engine check shows up on the dashboard. I changed selector three times but after driving 50-60 km same problem is starting, again gets stuck in 3rd gear, I have visited so many car service centers but did not get the answer how to solve this problem, some of electiricians told me that it might be some wire or electric problem, they say that the selector is not getting enough power from battery, when I checked battery some liquid was leaking from it and I put brand new good battery and abracadabra problem has been solved, but only for 4 days, during 4 days the selector was working perfectly but on 5th day it got stuck again and the day after almost whole day it was stuck in 3rd gear. I have heard many stories about this problem, it can be caused by ABS or gear computer or selector and etc but none of them helped me, maybe some of you have some experience about this and can give me some advice or help. Please do not ingore if some of you have any helpful information, thanks in advance.
