How do the pullies feel? I used to have them on my CLK430 and now considering them for the CLK500. Sweet interior products!! Post pics when everything is installed! They rock!!!!

Frisco 10-05-2004 07:48 PM

The interior is about as dirty as I've ever had it - I'll take some better pics after I clean up. Install took much longer than I expected - what a pita!

Looks hot!!!! :y You are tempting me to do mine. Didn't know you also got the seatbacks done. How long did it take total?

Frisco 10-05-2004 07:56 PM

Oh sorry for not responding to your question - I don't have the pulleys on yet but hope to soon!

BrabusClK04 10-05-2004 08:30 PM

Wow, That looks HOOOTTTT...im lovin that alot, nice nice mod. :y

Frisco 10-05-2004 08:58 PM

It took several months - I lost track a while ago honestly. I say go for it!!!

I basically pulled out everything that I could get out by myself (13 pieces done so far) - I also have a Kleemann steering wheel being redone to match but it's still being fabricated. I'd like to do a couple more pieces honestly (2 rear headrest backs, 8 headrest rail trim pieces, 2 front seat pull handles and surround trim, 2 entry sills) but will have to wait and see if Harris ever returns from Europe!!! It would also look pretty slick to have the leather restitched in yellow to match a set of yellow BBK calipers - I guess that has to wait until I get done with the engine mods. :)

Thanks!!! :D

Tezta 10-06-2004 02:26 AM

Frisco,

It wouild look really cool if you got your shifter cover replaced in alcantara like the new brabus shift knob/cover for the CLS. that would look nice.

SiLvaC32 10-06-2004 03:39 AM

x-tian-230k 10-06-2004 11:32 AM

Id like to know too. Thanks

It was all done custom using my existing pieces and the lead time was about 8 weeks. Harris = Harton Motorwerks, one of the site sponsors. IIRC, the standard CF trim set to replace the wood trim was somewhere between 1-2k, but I got more stuff done and it cost a bit more.

I tried to get a better pic of the seat back, but it came out a bit underexposed. It's amazing how much my camera color balances when in auto mode - the pics I took all make the CF color look different. I'll try to get a couple better pics on the weekend.

Frisco......NICE WORK MAN!!!! :y

Pretty sharp interior. Perhaps a CF lip for the front AMG bumper to tie the interior & exterior together. Do you have a pic of the new steering wheel. I too am going to get the Underdrive Pulleys.

You are a CF GOD!!

Frisco 10-07-2004 10:29 PM

I love the avatar pic Jay - it's really a nice shot of your car. Sorry I don't know how to use PS better, because I sort of massacred it and really don't like the way the edges of the car also came out blurred. I'll try to see if I can do better sometime over the weekend.

I actually don't have a pic of the steering wheel - it's still out being redone in CF to match. It's one of those Kleemann (Victor?) ergo/sport wheels that has perforated leather ergonomic shaped hand grips with decorative inserts.

Speaking of bumpers... :D

Frisco 10-08-2004 10:09 AM

I hadn't seen that CLS shifter pic (although I had seen the exterior Brabus CLS pics) - WOAH!!!

BrabusW203 10-09-2004 09:57 PM

hehe looks like my interior except mine is in black. I still need to do the headrest backs, but for me it's 5 pieces total for the front n back. Thing is with the rear headrests, there are button mechanisms which, after the CF process might be obstructed and not work at all...but im trying anyways. wish me luck!

We seriously need to do a photoshoot together some day. =)

Frisco 10-09-2004 10:06 PM

Give me a couple weeks and I'll be ready - I still have a couple things in the works :)

Frisco 10-10-2004 06:20 PM

ok, well I tried to get new pictures of the CF - still not perfect but it gets the point across. I think I know what I want to do next inside too - there's always something!

I also finally got a sound clip of my exhaust (Eisenmann Race 2x83mm Round): startup + a couple quick revs

BrabusClK04 10-10-2004 06:56 PM

Eli, Sounds great. Great work. Love that sound.

RohithT 10-10-2004 07:06 PM

I'm not a fan of carbon fiber– I've seen so much of the cheap-looking stuff that it's kind of spoiled for me– but this is quite nice. And from the look of that close up of the stereo, you have obviously taken great care to do it right–*the fit looks like it was done at the factory. Great job.
And that exhaust sounds great, too.

What's next?
