Hi Guys, this is my first time using the forum to post. I am not sure if I am even posting in the right place, but here goes, as I have a question which I am hoping someone can help me with.
The question is whether any one knows if there is a real difference between the resonator (in the middle of the car) on a w209 clk 550 and a w209 clk 280?
The clk 280 is a donour car with an AMG exhaust. But for the twin tips, it is exactly the same looking exhaust from resonator to the rear muffler as that on my clk 550 (which has a single wide tip). I want to put the twin tip 280 exhaust on the 550 but I am unsure of doing a swap because the resonators have different part numbers. The responator on the 280 exhaust has the number A203 4912601 and the resonator on the 550 has the part number A209 4910401. Apart from the part numbers, they both look identical. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable? or is there a reason that they have different part numbers? I would tend to think that they must be different but I just thought I would ask if anyone knows?
