Engine strange sound, any idea?

Hello!
I’m kinda worried about knocking while accelerating.
I have M113 engine, 2006 CLK500 69K mi

I can’t hear same sound when I put gear on P or N. No knocking when I revving, only hearable under D acceleration. Hearable between 1300-2000 RPM, and it is hard to hear from over 2500rpm or 40mph because of road noise.
Oil changed in stealership this month.
No idea whats going on.

Any idea where should I check?
Valve cover gasket and breather case is leaking but Im not sure this caused this sound.

Likely a driveline issue. How are your driveshaft couplers? What about diff fluid?

Never changed diff fluid yet.
Flex discs are in good shape, mechanic checked and said its solid.
Suspecting exhaust manifold leak or engine mounts.
Not sure 06 has updated engine mount, but my car has 113.968 engine.

Here's a TSB note from 2002.If you encounter instances in the above model vehicles equipped with engine 113.967, 113.963 or 113.968 of engine ticking (piston slap like sound) noise complaints when accelerating between 1200 and 3000 rpm, please perform the following remedy. Remove the original motor mounts, part no. 230 240 00 17 (In E500 and SL500) or 220 240 06 17 (In CLK500), and replace them with motor mounts, part no, 220 240 27 17. Reset the flywheel adaptation.

Since my car is 06 year model, I'm not sure they updated... 113.968.
