Info Needed - CLK240 with C32 Swap.
Hi Guys,
I've done some research but I haven't gotten a clear answer to my questions. The closest i've come to the CLK C32 conversion is the CLK32k conversion done by Dynomite05.
Hoping you guys could help answering a few technical questions.
I am thinking to do a C32 swap for a CLK240. The 170hp from the M112 e26 just isn't enough. I can also source a complete front clip (engine, gearbox, harness, dash) literally the whole front half of a C32 where I am.
When i start the swap, my questions were:
1) how complicated will the swap be? the goal to use just the engine,gearbox,ecu&tcu&harness from the C32.
2) is it possible to retain the speedo/cluster without splicing any wires?
3) will I need the C32 longshaft and reardiff?
4) can I retain the CLK key or must I use the key from the front clip?
What else do I need to look out for with regards to the swap?
