Top won't go up (roof is currently down) - CLK350

Top won't go up (roof is currently down) - CLK350
I put my soft top down, enjoyed a ride, and upon returning, the roof won't go up. I pull back on the switch, nothing happens. I hear a faint sound of hydraulic nature for 2 seconds coming from the area where the mechanical things are, that's all. Any thoughts on what I could try?

We're all newbies at the start :-)
Soon after I bought my CLK320 Cabriolet I was proudly showing my daughter in law the roof operation, and made that same error. Embarrassing somewhat it was. You only do it once !!!
