CLK500 DC discount

Howdy Folks:
Does anyone know if the 2002 Daimlier-Chrysler employee discounts (mine is 12.25% off msrp) will include the CLK500 Coupe? I assume so, but would like to know for sure.
Thanks,

Howdy Folks:
I just got thru to a real person @ For Mercedes and the reply was that they do not have any info yet & to call back later on.
I agree that 12.25 is right hefty. Judging by the parking lot, most of my co-workers opt for the Chrysler/Jeep vehicles. My MB salesman acted a bit miffed (I think I was his 2nd DC customer) and claimed that he only got 10% himself. Whether that's exactly true or not, that money is going to someone, somewhere.
Good luck with your negotiations.

The dealer does indeed get 10% (7% markup plus 3% holdback), but the salesman doesn't get anything close to that, so I'm not sure what you mean when you say that "he only got 10% himself."

Brian:
My understanding is that if my salesman were to buy the same car that I did, that he would have gotten only 10% ILO my 12.25% discount. He also claimed that he was only making $150 on my purchase. He did not disclose any dealer percentages to me.
Again, whether that's exactly true or not, that money (12,25%) is going to someone, somewhere (in my case, to me). The only thing I am sure about is the discount at my location.
I apologize for being vague.

DoctorDeath13,

Salesreps get the same discount that any DC employee gets (12.25%) off MSRP. The only catch to that program is that you must be employeed for at least 1yr with the company and you can only get the discount once a year, also the car must be registered in your name only. I believe that the CLK500 coupe will be available for the discount, just not the Cabriolet.
