Few years back I bought an 07 CLK350 Cabriolet that has been pretty much neglected. PCV maintenance was ignored and dirty oil leaked into the manifold and broke the swirl flap. Additionally some water leaked into the front SAM as well as footwell CANBUS connectors and the car was acting very quirky electronically. I'm not super mechanically inclined, so I just did basic maintenance as best I could, oil changes, topping off fluid, etc.. The car drove fine, smooth, just with decreased performance from the broken actuator arm. Occasionally smoking from dripping oil on exhaust. I wont go through every issue this car had, but I'll cover the ones I attempted to fix in this post.

After removing the intake manifold, you can see how much dirt and debris is in the valley.

This is the chinese replacement I got on Amazon. It was originally $220 but I got it for $150 in like-new condition. Got new Mahle gaskets as well.

Front rotors cleaned, with new bearings/race installed into hub.
Update: all parts are installed, just did an oil change, battery is charged up, and I'm about to fire her up for the first time. Will report back how she is performing!
