2008 W209 CLK350 Convertible

Just received a 2008 CLK350 Convertible. 2 Owners. No Accidents. 92k miles. EVERYTHING works. (except the R Mirror blinker needs to be replaced - no big deal)

But the weird thing is: I get a "rumbling" while I am driving, at ANY speed. 20mph - 60mph. (Haven't gone faster). NO Check Engine Lights!
In addition, the car seems to have less power. But the rumble goes away in 5-20 seconds. Then the car is fine; perfect. As I said, this is quite weird.
But maybe someone out there has experience with this.

It’s a V8 so my first question is, did someone straight pipe it? Or cut the resonators out?

Sorry for the delay...
It is NOT a V8. It is a V6.
