2005 CLK320
Question Struck Instrument Cluster CLK320 W209

Hello Everyone!

I have a 2005 CLK320 W209 that I can't get the instrument cluster out.

I am very familiar with the easy procedure to remove the cluster with the MB pull tools (I have them, and have used them many times). However, I did have some internal work performed by a reputable Mercedes repair shop to replace some of the damaged HVAC servos under the dash.

Now the locking tabs on the instrument cluster housing won't release using the pull tools. I've tried several times to release it without success.

I even took it back to the shop that did the dash work, and they couldn't get it to release.

I need to get this cluster out to replace the speedometer indicator needle. Anyone had tis issue before, and how did you get it out.

BTW...I have another cluster assembly, so if I do damage it getting it out, I can replace it.

Thank you for any insight on this....
