CLK 350 radio won’t turn on and it does later
So my son, CLK 350 has an issue and I thought it was related to the CD player but it’s not. I know that whole story about the optical connection.
I’ve been reading a lot of stories about the hard reboot, where you have to pull a fuse and that’s maybe why sometimes when he shuts off the car of no radio comes back after 10 minutes turns on the car, the radio works again
That’s probably because when you turn off the car takes about 3 to 5 minutes for it to fully power down
Does anybody know what’s causing the scenario would be the hundred dollar question what gets replaced what is actually broken not a hard shut down and restart fixes it
Is it the radio? Is it the amp? Is it the CD player? This is pretty much a tough one to diagnose if the disconnect of power and reconnect fixes it. What are we actually disconnecting radio only radio an amp all three?

In all honesty the OEM Headunits really suck, I'd definitely recommend replacing it which will resolve your problem quickly while giving added functionality such as bluetooth

So I just called the three junkyards and these things pretty much go for 50 bucks guaranteed for 60 days so I am definitely going that route. Some of the aftermarket garbage doesn’t have navigation in it. It’s a pain in the *** to splice all these wires I’d rather have a direct connect.
