Valve Cover Gasket

I own a 2005 CLK 320 Cabriolet. I want to change the driver side valve cover gasket. There is a steel braided tube which just clears the valve cover. Is this a fuel line? If I disconnect it will there be any issues after I re-connect it? Does anyone know where I can view a blow-up schematic of the engine compartment? Thanks

Is this a fuel line?

. Just disconnect the side on the engine you don't need to disconnect both sides a bit of fuel may come out just put a rag underneath to Cath it I did mine it's not a hard job to replace the gasket while your there check your spark plugs easier to remove when the valve cover is off

Remember to unscrew the Schrader valve cap on the passenger-side front of the fuel rail and insert a Phillips screwdriver into the Schrader valve to relieve the pressure (keep towel handy for any fuel that comes out).

yes it’s a fuel line. Also there will be no issues with disconnecting and reconnecting the gas line. Assuming you disconnect and reconnect correctly ie. not cross threaded and tightened etc…
