You can ask questions in this thread, but here is doc (still in progress) where I'm trying to share things I know about ME2.8 EEPROM, just to be these things I figured out on my own so there might be some mistakes.

I have read that it is not recommended to use the k-tag's own power supply to power the ECU, some people recommend powering the ECU with a professional power supply (I have one). Have you experienced any problems with this?

If it's ok with you, for future doubts I can post them in the post dedicated to the documentation and this way it can serve as a complement for other users.

Thank you for your quick response and advice.
I've never had issues with powering an ECU from K-TAG though, but it's a good idea to use a lab power supply.

Hi, it has been an odyssey getting the k-tag at home between lost packages and faulty units.
I finally got a working unit and was able to read the ecu I bought on eBay. I took a look at the memory addresses you refer to in the document and it was easy to identify the addresses to modify .

I still need to read the original ecu, make the modification and load it into the ecu purchased on ebay. Before this I want to put the engine (it is out of the car right now) to make sure that everything is correct and then proceed to load the modifications.

I have access to WIS/EPC but I don't know the VIN of any manual model that mounts this ecu so I'm a bit lost as to the wiring of the clutch pedal pressure sensor. Could you help me with this?

Thanks so much, getting progress on this is exciting.
