08 CLK350 Weird behaviour after new air intake manifold
I have replaced my air intake due to broken gunked up flaps inside. Now I am almost certain I put everything back together correctly, labeled all connections and followed instructions to the T. Now I have a super rough idle only in Park and Neutral. Car runs fine otherwise at higher revs, but sometimes it struggles to start. There's a plethora of codes right now, including but not limited to:
- idle fuel adaptation too lean on both banks
- esp / abs errors, with the occasional car braking on its own and / or going into limp mode with 'cruise control inoperable' and ESP / ABS errors. I've had a left front sensor implausible, but I removed and cleaned the speed sensor, and if I graph them out on my scanner they all register perfectly fine and uniform.
TLDR car idle shoots up to 2-3k rpm when I put her in park or neutral, other than that it's mostly ok, engine sounds throaty and it still feels gutless going uphill (even though the runners register as short or long as they should.) I know I'm rambling all over the place and this all may not all be related but it all started at the same time, which is suspect. I'd love to know if there are vacuum lines that are only operated in P or N, so I'd know what to look out for, generally I don't see or hear anything signaling a vacuum leak - maybe a slight hissing coming from around the ABS module. Also downstream O2 sensors are both reading -500 mV, in case that may be related. Any tips and ideas would be appreciated! Thanks Team
