I went away for a week and when I got back my car is emitting gas fumes. No leaks on the garage floor. Any ideas?

What engine ? CLK 350 ? Need more details

I know there is an issue on 2003-2009 W211 E-class/W219 CLS where a hole develops on top of the fuel tank so everytime you fill it up it emits an overwhelming smell of fuel, but I don't know if it happens on the CLKs too.
