New shoes
It’s time for me to consider new tires on my 2004 CLK 320 convertible. I’ve seen less than favorable reviews in the Michelins.
any suggestions?

I've recently put a full set of Pirelli Cinturato P7 MOs on mine. Seem just fine. I'm in the UK and would have preferred all seasons but they appear to be unobtanium in the rear size.

2004 CLK 500
I see Continental DWS06+ on a lot of cars in this segment. Very grippy tires, I have them on my '04 500 and I find there are a fair amount of corners I don't need to brake for at all, just a quick downshift and accelerate out of the apex - very fun.

The remarks are that the pilots are now EV ready and much harder than the original resulting in very different characteristics

Are you aware that Michelin has dozens of tire models and that tires for EV's are generally different than tires for regular cars due to the higher weight?

Regardless, I've been very happy with the Continental DWS06. They've been good enough that I have them on all my cars in 16", 17", 18", and 21"

I’ve had Continentals on previous vehicles and was very happy with them. It may be the way to go. Depending on if I get a clean bill of health on my transmission fluid change
