Bump/thump from rear end ??

Bump/thump from rear end ??
I'm getting a bump noise when I go over sharp bumps, maybe on the rebound. It sounds like the spare wheel and tools are thumping around, in fact it sounds like there's a pram in the boot, and there was so I ignored it for months !
However I have removed everything, spare wheel etc included and I still get this noise ! I could bring it to a dealer but I dont fancy them ripping it apart or driving the crap out of it over some rough roads !
Anyone come across this before or have ay suggestions ??

rear bump rattle
Hi guys,
Not sure if you are still active members but I have the same problem in the boot of my CLK, an awful rattle when I go over sharp bumps, I have tried making sure the spare wheel cover etc is down properly but to no avail, any other ideas?
