This is my first time here. Thanks for taking the time to read my message. I'm from Melbourne, Australia, and I recently bought a 2003 CLK500. I'm totally new to the Benz scene!
I noticed the hydraulic fluid was low, so I topped it up. But now, the top won't close and it's stuck at the point in the picture below.
If anyone has advice on how to get it to close or what steps I should check, I'd really appreciate it!
Does the dash show any error messages? Did you use the right fluid? Have you attempted to open/close again? I'd recommend messing around with it
if it still does not close check the user manual/this video to manually close it
Oh and I recommend cleaning all the switches, contacts, and even changing them out, there are microswitches to sense when and where it is in the opening/closing movement. Sometimes it will be caked up with dirt
